Guidant Global Senior Vice Presidents, Mary Beth Vansen and Karen Gonzalez, have been recognized as two of the most influential females in recruitment by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), by appearing in its coveted Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing 2018 list.
Vansen, Senior Vice President of Implementation, and Gonzalez, Senior Vice President of Global Solutions, join Julia Robertson, Impellam Group’s CEO parent company of Guidant Global, who has appeared on the list annually since its inception in 2015.
Positioned as a comprehensive list of the ‘female leaders and influencers in the global market space’, the Global Power 150 is widely considered to be an encyclopedic overview of the most powerful women in the workforce solutions ecosystem.
Industry pioneer, Mary Beth Vansen, has been in the MSP space since its inception in 1993. She was appointed to her current position in January from her previous role as VP of implementation and operations, which she assumed in 2004. Throughout her tenure, she helped to build a world-class organization that has implemented/ migrated more than 350 programs of all sizes and configurations.
Mary Beth Vansen, Senior Vice President of Implementation and Operations at Guidant Global said: “I am truly honored to appear on this year’s Global Power 150 – to do so has always been on my bucket list. Since I joined the MSP sector 25 years ago a lot has changed, and we cannot escape the fact that much of this progress can be attributed to strong female leaders. To be listed alongside such inspirational trailblazers is amazing.”
For more than 20 years, Karen Gonzalez has dedicated her career to helping clients find better ways to manage their workforces. She was appointed to her current role, overseeing the company’s sales organization, in 2015. In her first year she led the sales team to achieve more than $650 million in spend under management, a figure which has now risen to more than $1.5 billion.
Karen Gonzalez, Senior Vice President of Global Solutions at Guidant Global said: “During my 25-plus year career in the contingent workforce space, I have had an opportunity to work with many of the amazing women who have been nominated this year, several of whom have mentored me along the way. To now be honored alongside them on the Global Power 150 is something I am extremely proud of and I am grateful to be part of Guidant Global which has allowed me to continue to pursue my passion for this industry and all that it entails. I am immensely proud of what my team – and the organization as a whole – have achieved over the past three years. We will continue to differentiate ourselves by offering and delivering superior solutions for our customers, and by doing things in a better way. For this hard work and commitment to be recognized by Staffing Industry Analysts is a true honor.”
Brian Salkowski, President, Americas, at Guidant Global added: “The fact remains that relatively few global staffing companies have female leaders at the helm and, as an exception to the rule, Impellam Group gives others in the sector a figurehead to aspire towards. At Guidant Global we pride ourselves on not only being a global leader in workforce solutions, but also a people-centric business where all our people are offered every advantage to shine. Both Karen and Mary Beth have strengthened Guidant Global’s executive team exponentially by helping to create an integrated worldwide sales organization, aligned with the company’s strategic business objectives; resulting in continued, ongoing success. Congratulations to both - your positions on this year’s list are incredibly well deserved and you are both undoubtedly an inspiration to others.”
