Guidant Global Recognised as one of the 'Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work for'

Guidant Global is delighted to have been awarded a place in the 2017 ‘Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For’ list. This is the first year that we have featured on the prestigious list (debuting at number 81), which demonstrates that our progressive approach to truly valuing employee wellbeing and engagement is paying dividends.

Our inspirational CEO, Melanie Forbes leads from the front when it comes to motivating her team. Making people want to work at Guidant Global has long been both a personal and a strategic priority of Mel’s, who herself ranked 37th in the list’s leadership ratings. On our inclusion in the Sunday Times Top 100 list, she said:

Happy, engaged employees are critical to the success of Guidant Global. Happiness builds enjoyment, confidence, creates success and generally improves people’s wellbeing. We’ve worked exceptionally hard over the past few years to make sure that our people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

We are firmly committed to employee wellbeing and have invested in pioneering initiatives such as Open Blend Method, which has replaced annual staff reviews. This innovative technology platform acts as an enabler for monthly open and honest conversations between managers and their teams, and places employee wellbeing at the centre of our business. Then there’s our Career Path structures and Career Academy which provide Guidant Global's employees with clear routes to progress and a means to obtain the experience and support needed to advance their careers.”

The Sunday Times list of the Best Companies to Work For 2017 was derived exclusively from the views of employees. It is the staff themselves who fill in the anonymous surveys from which the scores are compiled —almost 250,000 people filled out questionnaires for this year’s lists — giving their opinions about their bosses, their working conditions and their employer’s values.
Speaking of Guidant Global's success, Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies said:

I would like to congratulate Guidant Global on their outstanding achievement. We know that the main challenge for many organisations this year will be talent attraction and retention. For organisations like Guidant that have demonstrated their ability to create an engaged workforce and recognise the importance of caring about their employees, they are in a good position to retain and attract the talent they need.”
