We were over the moon to win two categories at this year's RIDI Awards - 'Disability confident' and 'Audience choice'!
The RIDI Awards are designed to celebrate progress and recognise the success of employers and recruiters that are making headway in increasing the inclusion of disabled talent. As an organisation who firmly supports disability confidence, we are incredibly proud to win two awards and celebrate our achievements with other like-minded organisations.
The awards were hosted by Coronation Street star, Cherylee Houston, who shared an inspiring story of her own experience with disability. Penny Mordaunt MP and Minister of State for Disabled People, Health and Work also took to the stage and gave words of motivation on how we can remove the barriers faced by the millions of disabled people who are entering or progressing through the job market.
The 'Disability confident' category was looking for how an organisation has supported the goverment's Disability Confident campaign. Our commitment to this was emphasised through promoting the campaign's messages through our supply chain where we have facilitated 13 of our suppliers to sign up to the Disability Confident Employer Scheme from an event we hosted. We have also worked to promote disability confidence within our own organisation which you can read more about here.
The 'Audience choice' category as the name suggests was voted by the audience for their favourite category winner. We were delighted to receive this second award which topped off an already fantastic evening.
Congratulations to all winners!
