Guidant Global proud to sponsor the Luton Excellence Awards

We are delighted to be sponsors of the Luton Excellence Awards and be part of the first-class awards ceremony. The event celebrated the tremendous work being done every single day across Luton Borough Council (LBC), and was a great opportunity to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to some of the wonderful people who do a great service to the council and the local community alike. 

12 Luton Excellence Awards were handed out, plus five ‘Leader’s Special Recognition’ awards and a number of certificates council employees who have completed 25 years’ service. Guidant had the pleasure of sponsoring and presenting the long service awards and the ‘Improving Lives Every Day’ category. 

A year to remember

This year’s awards marked a special one, celebrating the 80th birthday of Luton Airport in style with LBC’s CEO Trevor Holden dressed a cabin crew member and the corporate directors as WW1 pilots to really bring to life the airport theme running throughout the evening.

Presented by #TeamGuidant’s Account Director, Selena Ayling, the deserving winner of the ‘Improving Lives Every Day’ award was Anne Gibbons, Void Administrator. Anne has had a huge positive impact on not just the local communities but also her colleagues as highlighted in her nomination:

“Among her many strengths, Anne is fantastic at spotting potential difficulties and acting quickly to head them off. With her years’ of experience, she knows who to talk to, both within Luton Council and outside, to find the relevant information quickly. 

She also has an astonishing memory and, when tenants transfer, she will always remember them and their circumstances, adding both a personal and professional touch to proceedings. Anne improves lives within the business too, supporting new members of staff and helping them to feel welcome. 

She is kind, thoughtful and helpful and really embodies Luton Council’s corporate values of being customer-focused and improving quality of life for our citizens.
