Guidant Global receives ‘Highly commended’ award at the RIDI Awards 2020

Guidant Global attended the annual Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) Awards, celebrating the very best of disability inclusion. The virtual ceremony, hosted by Liz Johnson – Paralympic Gold Medallist, and Managing Director & Co-founder of The Ability People, also coincided with International Day of People with Disabilities and showcased some of the most inspiring stories from organisations making a difference and leading change within the recruitment industry.

We’re delighted to receive the ‘Highly Commended’ award for ‘Most Inclusive Recruitment Campaign’, which recognises a unique campaign that has been carefully and cleverly implemented to attract disabled talent.

At Guidant, we proactively encourage applications from disabled talent and have introduced an interview guarantee policy for anyone with a disability who meets the minimum criteria for the role. Our end-to-end inclusive recruitment campaign means that thanks to Recite technology, our careers site can be accessed in the way that works best for the user.

Furthermore, we’ve stripped out lengthy application processes, use inclusive language and imagery in our job ads, and use strengths-based interviews that focus on a candidate’s potential, rather than their experience.

Most importantly, we’ve worked hard to showcase real-life experiences of disabled talent already working within our organisation – including our work with third parties such as Whizz-Kidz. This gives disabled candidates the reassurance they need when applying for a role with us.

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and are committed to evolving both our talent attraction campaigns and internal processes to drive disability inclusion across our organisation. As a RIDI gold partner, Guidant is at the forefront of collaborating with them to drive ongoing inclusion for talented people with disabilities across our industry now and in the future.

Congratulations to all winners and finalists who are leading the way in removing barriers for disabled jobseekers. We’d also like to extend our congratulations to our client Heathrow, who are the deserving winners of the ‘Disability Confident’ award.
