Guidant Global’s Simon Blockley included in list of ‘Innovators and Futurists’ shaping the world of work

Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, has unveiled its 2018 list of the 100 most influential European staffing leaders. The annual list, sponsored by Bullhorn, recognises individuals and lauds them for their role in taking the industry forward.

We’re exceptionally proud that our MD for Guidant Global UK and European Operations, Simon Blockley has been included for the second year running. Simon is also joined by Impellam Group CEO, Julia Robertson.

Simon has said of his inclusion, “To be included on a list of individuals shaping the world of work is both humbling and testament to the hard work of individuals across our business who have made Guidant Global a force for positive change in our industry. At Guidant Global we are all committed to collaborating, thinking creatively and delivering new and better solutions for the workplace of today. I am proud to be able to lead such a proactive and innovative team and I have no doubt that our greatest successes are still ahead of us.”

The SIA list is compiled based on the impact and influence individuals have had on the workforce solutions ecosystem, be it through growth, vision, innovation or legislation, to name a few factors, during the past year. It’s not a ranking but rather a spotlight on the pioneers shaping the future of the workforce solutions ecosystem.

This year’s honorees are trailblazers, helping to evolve a market worth an estimated EUR 159 billion, navigating against a backdrop of legislative change, dynamic shifts in technology and a rapidly evolving ecosystem,” said Subadhra Sriram, Editor & Publisher, Media Products, SIA. “As futurists, these innovative thought leaders straddle frontiers and drive advances in an increasingly tech-driven talent supply chain. We are excited to recognize them.

"The recruitment industry in Europe is undergoing tremendous shifts," said Peter Linas, EVP of Corporate Development and International at Bullhorn, "precipitated by digital transformation, historic talent shortages, and regional evolution. However, we truly believe that these changes present an opportunity for the entire industry to grow stronger, and the hard decisions and bold actions start with the leaders on SIA's Staffing 100 Europe list. Bullhorn is pleased to support these leaders on their journey to taking our whole industry into a new era of possibility."

This year’s honorees hail from across European staffing markets, with representation from 17 countries. Twenty women were named to the 2018 list, up from 15 last year, as female leaders continue to gain deserved recognition from the industry and in the marketplace.
